Yesterday my wife and I celebrated 20 years from the day we met — at a Clumsy Lovers concert at Seattle’s Tractor Tavern! We always tried to see you guys when you came through town.
You signed a drum stick for me once at The Ark in Ann Arbor.
That was such a fun place to place in such a cool town! Hope you are doing well:)
Thanks for playing for our 25th anniversary and for Jeanette’s 60th birthday. Our 50th anniversary is coming up in 2026. Any chance you will return to the Pacific Northwest by then?
I organized easily a half-dozen groups to watch y’all live at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle back in the 00’s, and came up to Bellingham for an alleyway show, too. Just loved it. I still listen to the Clumsy Lover albums a few times a year, and having now lived in the Appalachian mountains, I hear some similar melodies.
Love the music, loved y’all’s energy. Thanks for the joy & memories.
Hey Porter- thanks for sharing. Those were wonderful times. And yes, it’s fun to hear all those familiar melodies when they happen. Enjoy the mountains. I’m in flat West Texas but get to see the mountains when we visit Vancouver.
Trevor. we used to follow the band all time around Portland. I’m not sure if you remember this, but I even saw you once in Grand Rapids, Mi, at Quinn and Tuites. After the show, you, I and my nephews went over to Founder’s Brewing for a few beers. That was a fun night. Do you still play around the Lubbock area? Travis T.
Hey Travis- Nice to hear from you. Actually I now have a kid named Travis! I do remember that show and that evening hanging out and checking out the town. Fun! Still play music very occasionally in public, but every day at home! Cheers!
23 years ago tonight I met my future wife at a Clumsy Lovers show at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle. We are still going strong and miss your band!
I was listening to Paul Simon this morning and That Was Your Mother came on. It immediately made me think of The Clumsy Lovers cover and this morning I’m taking a trip down memory lane listening to Under the Covers. I have a feeling I’m going to go through the whole catalog today. Thanks for the memories. Damn you guys were an amazing band.
The first time I saw you guys was in 2002 at Casbeer’s in San Antonio. It was honestly one of the best shows I’d ever seen.
